Head’s Welcome

Welcome to Southlands High School. 

I am extremely proud to be the Headteacher of this vibrant and energetic school community. 

At Southlands students develop academically acquiring the knowledge and skills which will equip them for their future. This is achieved as students are immersed in a rich curriculum delivered through engaging lessons. Students also develop their character through the enrichment and personal development programmes. The school is committed to delivering a “Qualifications Plus” approach, which enables all students to challenge themselves to achieve their best. In this way we are confident that the young people of this school will become successful learners and responsible citizens who will contribute positively to their community. 

All students are valued in the Southlands community, and we work together to ensure all enjoy their time here and build the solid foundations for a bright future. Everyday all members of staff and students support one another in ensuring our school is a safe, positive learning environment where everyone can flourish.
