Our options model is designed to support all our students in ensuring that their curriculum:
Our options process launches for our students with the Options Evening in March. At this event, students and parents will be able to discuss their potential options with curriculum leaders and teachers within the different subject areas. This is an opportunity to ask questions and get a feel for what the subjects may entail. Students will also receive an options booklet with all relevant key information about the subjects available, possible combinations of subjects and any important deadlines.
After the Options Evening, students will be assigned an Options Advisor within school who they will meet with to discuss their preferred options. Students will be able to select four option subjects and the options currently available are detailed in the booklet attached. (Please note that subjects available can vary year to year based upon many factors and students will receive an up to date version of the booklet at their Options Evening).
When choosing Options, students should take the following information into account:
Our Options Evening along with meetings with Options Advisors aim to ensure that students feel as prepared as possible for the process and to help them make the best possible choices for themselves.
